Types and Effectiveness of Non Surgical Face Lift

There are two main types of non surgical face lifts that have been looked at and proven effective for years. Though there are others that are now being tried, the two that are proven are the ones we will talk about.

The two main types of non surgical face lifts are thermage face lifts and titan face lifts. Both of these work alike in the sense that they both require the heating, and of course cooling to avoid burns, of the skin, however they each heat the skin with a different method. For both of these results will continue for at least six months after the treatments, and then you can get another one, or you are done, depending on what your doctor says.

The thermage face lift uses radiofrequency energy to strategically heat and cool the skin to allow your skin to become healthier looking for at least six months. This treatment usually only takes once for good, if not great, results, and then you don’t have to do it again for years to come. However, there are times when a doctor decides that it is a good idea to go in for a second treatment after a six month period, though for most people this doesn’t happen.

The Titan face lifts works by using infrared to heat and cool the skin on your face (Skin Tightening). For this, it could take between two and three treatments to get the full effect of the face lift capabilities that you are looking for, but there are people who still feel that infrared is superior to other systems. This is because they believe that you are less likely to suffer from any of the after effects that are possible with the non surgical face lifts.

For the most part, pain is not a real issue with using either system, though it is possible for some people who are sensitive. There is also little to no downtime for people after one of these procedures. There are a few cases where the patient suffers from redness and or swelling or temporary blanching of the skin, but it is very rare that anything beyond that occurs. The other possibilities, though they are rare, are a permanent change in the pigment, bumps or blistering, or even skin depressions. In extremely rare cases some scarring is also possible. Though most of the effects are not permanent, it is always better to talk to your doctor before doing anything.

Though these non surgical face lifts give good results, one must keep in mind that they are not face lifts. You can not expect to look 15 years younger than you did the day before. What you can expect though is that your skin will have less acne, the scars will be less pronounced, and your skin will become a little tighter and lifted compared to what it is. These changes will come over a time period of about 6 months, though some cases show that your skin continues to improve even after that.
