• A flap is created on the cornea of the eye using a surgical instrumental known as microkeratome.
• With the help of a laser called Excimer laser the corneal stroma is remodeled
• Once the stormal layer has been remodeled the Ophthalmologist places the LASIK flap over the cornea and checks for any bubbles or air before the flap is positioned with the help of natural adhesives.
Risks Involved

But just like everything else, this surgery too has its own risks and complications. Since it is still very new, there are chances that things may go wrong. Many patients who have undergone this surgery have complained of nighttime vision being affected due to the procedure. Since this surgery requires the cornea to be cut, there are chances of it being cut too much or too less and may require to way corrective glasses or lenses inspite of the surgery.
The number of people who have been treated successfully is much higher than the ones who have complained of any problems, thereby making this surgery very popular with people looking to improve their vision in a simple manner without undergoing the pain of a big surgery.

It would be a good idea to sleep longer so that the eyes get chance to have more rest and let the flap get positioned in the eyes.
